What if intense criticism didn’t make us have the following reaction:

“Screw you, I’m fine just the way I am.”

But instead sparked:

“You’re wrong about my value, but I’ll become more competent and able in response, after considering your critique…Thank you.”

That’s the middling Truth, the grey nuance amongst an unhelpful black-and-white dichotomy.
